29th September 2011

In the Fazle Abbas contest organized by Stepping Stone high school, Nath Valley got runner's up shield overall. Swastika Jajoo and Kenneth Soans won the first prize in Just A Minute and Storytelling respectively. Juhi won the 2nd prize in Recitation.

23rd& 24th September 2011

In the Campus Club Wizkid Interschool Competition 2011, the Secondary school bagged the first prize in AthithiDevoBhava Skit and the 2nd prize in Hindi Debate and were declare the first runners up overall. In the primary section, we won the first prize in Story Telling Competition, second in Young Orator and third in Painting and again were the first runners up in the primary school category overall.

In the 19th State level Inter- Collegiate debate Competition organized by the Lokmat times, Mitali Gupta of Std. XII Com won the 2nd prize. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1500.

The NVS team won the first round of the LIMCA BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS QUIZ 2011. The team comprised of Abhishek Santhanam (Std XII COM) and Gursheen Bindra (Std XI Com).

Outbound Education Visits: All students visited different places for hands on learning in different subjects with respect to their curriculum. The class wise visits were as follows:

  •  6th July – Students of Std. VI visited Sona Farms
  • 13th July – Students of Std. XI & XII Com visited ICAI
  • 14th July – Std VIII students visited WALMI and the students of XI Sc. & XII Sc. visited MAHYCO Seeds, Jalna.
  • 15th July – Students of Std. VII visited the Shivaji Museum and Ellora caves
  • 16th July – Std. X visited Bajaj Hospital
  • 19th July – Std. IX visited Ajeet Seeds

A team of Lunch and Discipline prefects from each class was set up to assist the student council in maintaining discipline in school.


16th June 2011

The students exercised democracy to choose the most suitable candidate as the school captain and vice captain respectively. The electoral procedure can be related to the actual elections with canvassing restricted to dignified yet powerful speeches by the respective candidates. The election procedure was meticulously conducted by the social studies department, and class IX.


13th June 2011

The students come back to school. Principal Mr. Dass declares “Self Discipline” to be the theme of the year.


9th June – 11th June 2011

Teachers attended a workshop inorder to upgrade their skills. Mr. John Mason conducted a very interesting workshop on “A Happy School” which was attended by the entire faculty of NVS.
