The 4thNath Valley Nirlep Monsoon Festival; an Interschoolevent was held at the Sports Complex and Technology and Media Centre of the NVS campus on the 16th September 2011. The festival was inaugurated by esteemed dignitaries.

In all, 11schools registeredfrom in and around Aurangabad for the event.

Principal, Mr.RanjitDass introduced the esteemed guests -Mr.MukundBhogale, MrSushantKamatand the judges. The wonder of monsoon, life and the school campus provide a good opportunity to the other schools to savor and enjoy its beauty.“Exposure to culture, drama and acquisition of knowledge through quizare areas which can help in overall development of a student’s personality in the 21st century,” said MrDass. Sir thanked MrBhogale for encouraging us and sponsoring the event. MrDass said that this is a good platform to generate a friendly relation between schools that have come to compete.

Mr.MukundBhogale, Chairman of board ofGovernors, Managing Director of Nirlep Industries expressed happiness on being associated with this event. He said that we are committed as we believe that youth are ambassadors of the country.

Special guest,Mr. SushantKamat said that students should follow what their mind and heart says; check their attitude and finally participation is what matters to improve themselves.

The festival focusedon –English Skit, Extempore and Quiz.

The theme for English skits was a turning point in the lives of “famous personalities” who have created a lasting impact on the lives of people. The different personalities portrayed by various schools were----Chanakya, J.R.D Tata, Bill Gates, R.K.Narayan, Sudha Murthy and Dhyanchand

Each school was very creative and put up a wonderful show.

The Extempore included topics such as Responsibility, Childhood, Parents Expectations, Gadget Addiction,etc.

The skits were judged by:-Prof. Dr. Hamid Khan, MrsSumanMarwah and MrsDilshad Printer

The Skits were judged on the parameters like dramatization, theme clarity, dialogue delivery and overall impression.

The extempore was judged by:-Dr. Mabel Fernandes, MsAnnah Elijah and MrAbhayKapoor.The deciding criteria were fluency, content and language.

The most exciting part of the day was the sensational quizwhere the rapid round became the deciding factor for the winning team. The participants and the viewer’s alike were sitting on the edge of their seats all through. The Quiz Masters boosted the spirit of each team.

Prof. Hamid Khan challenged the bright faces filled with joy, enthusiasm and zest, to “test and examine themand think how this can help them to raise their standards.” Time is a big villain so before it slips away from your hands squeeze some happiness into your life and make use of opportunities such as these events to update yourself.
